In New York

In New York
There’s a ton to eat
Like potatoes and
Really good meat!
In New York
There’s oats and hay
For the horses to eat
Day by day!
In New York
There’s apple trees
That bring sweet
Bumblebees!
In New York
The pigs are yummy
Cause we make bacon of them
And they're in my tummy!
In New York
The wine is fine
And all the boys give the girls it
For a valentine

2nd Place - Ethan Massey, Yorkshire, NY

My Feelings About Corn

I liked corn, since I was born
Specially with butter, good & warm,
And with my family in the fall,
We walk in a corn maze that's not small.
Now, corn doesn't just feed your mule,
It can be used in your car for fuel.
Yes I like Corn, it's really nice in fact -
It's twice as nice as rice

3rd Place - Amy Hart, St. Johnsville, NY

Cows

Cow Cow
Where art thou.
Your Milk
is as creamy
And white
As the winter
SNOW!
I dream of
You
In the fields,
Eating
the crops left
Over
from this fall

Honorable Mention - Alexis Christensen, Salem, NY

Cows

Cows grazing in the pasture
Snacking on some grass and
flowers
Black, white, brown little
dots
All around the fields.
Moist, watery big noses
nosing
around at each other
Cows running towards me
Feeding them grain in a hurry
those cows!

Honorable Mention - Natalie Linderman, Delevan, NY

Just Plant Your Own

Apples go crunch,
There's all you can eat,
Tomatoes go munch,
Also have a bite of meat,
Pick apples in autumn,
You can pick them at top or bottom.
Pick pumpkins on the ground,
Where they will be found.
Pick them here,
Pick them there
Pick them everywhere,
Eat a lot,
It does not have to be bought,
Plant your own.
It does not matter if your name is not Joan,
Just plant your own!
You do not have to write on the board,
A picture of a gourd,
Just plant your own.
