The cover of the journal tells a story about a nest of killdeer eggs that was found and roped off in the garden to protect them until they hatched.     K-12 students at the BOCES Center use the garden for lessons connected to the curriculum and as a therapeutic environment. In the background is the tool shed and a sand play area that the kids love! There are apple trees past the tool shed.     Peter's blue jacket hangs in the garden where he left it behind. Peter is hiding in the watering can! Mr. Scarecrow relaxes on a garden bench while the students work and play.     Susan stands by Mr. MacGregor as he guards his garden from Peter Rabbit. "Okay to Pick!" signs let students know what is ready to pick. Susan says they work well to keep vegetables from being picked too soon. Raised benches are wheelchair accessible. Special Garden Activities: • Weed Warriors The students love being challenged to see who can pick the most weeds! • Bug Detectives The students learn about all those creepy crawly flying creatures living out in their garden.
